Highlife legend, Abrantie Amakye Dede is yet to be informed of the death of his manager, Isaac Yeboah.
Adom News’ Nana Osei Ampofo Adjei who visited the legendary musician at the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he is on admission said doctors at the facility are still making all efforts aimed at preventing him from learning of the manager’s death.
“Abrantie is someone who is very much concerned about his manager and has started asking of him but for health reasons, the doctors do not want him to hear of the death of his manager for now,” he reported.
Amakye Dede was involved in a ghastly accident at Bonsu junction in the Eastern region in the wee hours of yesterday.
The musician according to reports was going to perform at Paradise, an entertainment centre just ten minutes drive from Bonsu when the unfortunate incident occurred.
His manager, Isaac Yeboah who was standing by his vehicle died instantly after his vehicle was rummed into by a sprinter bus.
His bodyguard who had his rib broken is however on admission at the 37 Military Hospital. To keep him from learning of the manager’s death, Ampofo Adjei reported that the Doctors have removed all form of media from his room.
“It is not everyone who is not allowed to go to see him for fear of breaking the news unconsciously, even persons allowed are given medical briefings on what to discuss with him…,” he said. According to him, the musician is doing well.
MUSIGA President, Bice Osei-Kufuor, Obour and GHAMBRO President, Kojo Antwi and a host of other musicians have been to the hospital to check up on him.
