Wayne Rooney Second Top Scorer In Premier League History

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney scored his 188th Premier League goal in the game against Swansea, overtaking Andy Cole for the second-most in Premier League history.

Rooney, 30, had only netted twice in 16 games before Saturday but is now only behind Alan Shearer in the goals tally.

The England captain broke the international scoring record earlier this year and his goal this weekend was also his 238th goal for Manchester United, which makes him the club’s second highest scorer of all-time behind Sir Bobby Charlton’s 249.
