Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Hamza Mohammed pointed out international politics as the greatest set back of the club insisting they can only progress if that is neglected.

According to the former national U20 captain, everybody closer to the club wants to impress the Life Patron of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II thereby creating problems for each other.

He added that if the leadership of the club would avoid backbiting and jealousy and support whoever is appointed to lead the club, they will be one of the best clubs in Africa.

‘There is too much politics in the club and that must be reduced. That has been the greatest challenge of Kotoko since time immemorial.’

‘If not the politics in Kotoko, other African clubs would have struggled to match the club but the politics is too much.’

Hamza further suggested that the Life Patron of the club must look for a good administrator to manage the club and be accountable to him every year.

‘The best I think will help the club is to get a good administrator to manage the club and that will end it all.’
