Ghana winger Albert Adomah produced another scintillating performance to score for Middlesbrough in their 2-0 win over Derby County in the English Championship on Saturday.

Boro enjoyed the chunk of possession and the game appeared it was going to end in a stalemate.

But Adomah, 28, popped popped up to chip the opener after 82 minutes before David Nugent teed up George Friend for the second in a dramatic finale to secure a crucial victory at home.

The league leaders needed only a draw to stay at the top but grinded out a win to set a club record.

They are unbeaten in eight leagues games and have not conceded a goal in nine with the Ghana international at the heart of their feat.

Adomah has increased his tally to four this season as Boro continue to press home for promotion after missing out by a whisker last season.
