Greater Accra FA Chief claims Colts League has not started because of late registration

[ad_1]

The Chairman of the Greater Accra Football Association Nii Doku says the Regional Colts League has not commenced because the players for the various Colts Clubs have not registered.

According to the outspoken FA Ex. Co member, the registration at the Colts level is always free for all club at the cost of the Football Association.

He added that because of the introduction of the Electronic Plus Registration System which kicked out the manual registration system, the FA had to hold on with the registration of the Colts Clubs since those undertaken the exercise are the same people doing it for the Premier League Clubs as well as the other lower divisions and women’s football.

‘It has delayed because of registration. Many people have been accusing my office for nothing without knowing the underlying factors,’ Doku told GHANAsoccernet.com

‘Colts registration has always been free. The FA provides the cards and we register all the players. Last two seasons the FA did not provide cards for registration before of the electronic system. So if the cards are not available, how do we register?’

‘The E-Plus Registration System is what we are using now and it requires that all players are registered online through the system to make way for the new era. And because it included Premier and the lower divisions as well as women soccer, they could not finish the registration before considering colts, hence the delay.’
