Cyber fraudsters,\u00a0otherwise known as\u00a0‘sakawa boys,’ who are\u00a0allegedly operating in the\u00a0Tamale Metropolis have\u00a0called the bluff of the\u00a0Northern Regional Minister’ directive to have them\u00a0arrested.<\/strong><\/p>\n They have equally\u00a0served notice to Alhaji\u00a0Mohammed Muniru-Limuna\u00a0(the minister) to prepare\u00a0for a collision course as\u00a0they would resist any\u00a0attempt by the security\u00a0agencies to arrest them.<\/p>\n The sakawa guys, it has\u00a0been established, sent a\u00a0threatening text message to\u00a0the minister, who doubles\u00a0as chairman of the Northern\u00a0Regional Security Committee\u00a0(REGSEC), to brace\u00a0up for a possible showdown\u00a0and warned that he\u00a0could be treading on dangerous\u00a0grounds.<\/p>\n They claimed they were\u00a0in bed with agents who\u00a0might be sent after them\u00a0and therefore boasted that\u00a0the minister’s directive was\u00a0just ‘a joke of the century.’<\/p>\n Snippets of information\u00a0gathered by DAILY GUIDE\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>indicated that they\u00a0demanded the renaming of\u00a0a particular community as\u00a0Malaga City under the\u00a0guise that its current name\u00a0does not suit its status –\u00a0because they had built\u00a0their houses there.<\/p>\n It is unclear why they\u00a0chose the name but checks\u00a0indicated that Malaga City\u00a0has been tagged as a gateway\u00a0to southern Spain and\u00a0the Costa del Sol \u2013 birthplace\u00a0of Picasso, which is\u00a0noted as having one of the\u00a0best climates in Europe. It\u00a0is now justifiably one of\u00a0Spain’s hottest cultural,\u00a0gastronomic and leisure\u00a0destinations \u2013 and notorious\u00a0for all forms of crimes.<\/p>\n The sakawa boys in\u00a0Tamale have allegedly\u00a0gone ahead to pay\u00a0GH<\/p>\n
