In a new documentary tagged\u00a0\u201cDolphin<\/span> Lover,\u201d 63-year-old Malcolm Brenner says he fell for Dolly after the aquatic animal made advances at him. At the time of their \u2018relationship<\/span>\u2018 in 1971, Brenner was a photographer and had access to the pool at the former theme park in Sarasota Florida, where he lived. In the 15 minute film he says:\u00a0\u201cI started rubbing her along her back, working my way to her flukes \u2013 her tail. \u201cAnd as I was rubbing her and moving my hand towards her tail, Dolly was slowly rolling around her long axis.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s something quite transcendental about making love with a dolphin.I was given free access to the dolphins and I became friends with her by going swimming with her. She was very special.She announced her intentions to me by positioning herself so I was rubbing against her.At first<\/span> I discouraged her, I wasn\u2019t interested. After some time I thought \u2018if this was a woman would I come up with these rationalisations and excuses\u2019?It was when the park was closing that we successfully eluded the male dolphin so we could spend some time alone.<\/p>\n

I called it a relationship because that\u2019s what it was.
