Actress Kisa Gbekle has declined\u00a0all efforts to get her involved in the\u00a0ongoing scuffle among members of\u00a0the Film Producers Association of Ghana\u00a0(FIPAG) over Ghana Movie Awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n Her reason was that ‘the cockroach\u00a0has no business in the meeting of hens.’<\/p>\n Hence, she would rather be in her corner\u00a0and talk about issues affecting\u00a0actors\/actresses.<\/p>\n All eyes are currently on FIPAG in\u00a0anticipation that it would sanction some of\u00a0its members who went against the association’s\u00a0directive to members not to take\u00a0part in the 2014 Ghana Movie Awards.<\/p>\n The association’s leadership was heard\u00a0in the media sometime last year advising\u00a0its members to boycott the 2014 Ghana\u00a0Movie Awards ceremony on the grounds\u00a0that the awards organisers ‘didn’t treat\u00a0them well.’<\/p>\n But top producers Abdul Salam\u00a0Mumuni, Hajia Hawa Meizongo and some\u00a0others flouted the directive and submitted\u00a0their movies, with Hajia’s movie even winning\u00a0Best Picture at the ceremony.<\/p>\n Meanwhile Salam’s camp has said it\u00a0did not receive any official correspondence\u00a0to stay away from the movie\u00a0awards.<\/p>\n But some industry observers think the\u00a0development has undermined FIPAG’s\u00a0authority over its general members and\u00a0that it will even get worse if it can’t sanction\u00a0the members who flouted the directive.<\/p>\n NEWS-ONE asked the beautiful and\u00a0controversial actress what she thought\u00a0about the directive by FIPAG and also if it\u00a0was fair since other technical crew members\u00a0stood a chance of benefiting if the\u00a0movies they worked on were submitted\u00a0for the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n ‘I don’t have an\u00a0opinion on this. ‘I don’t want anybody\u00a0to hold grudge\u00a0with me. Producers and\u00a0Ghana Movie Awards\u00a0organisers should sit\u00a0and see how best they\u00a0can make things up.<\/p>\n That’s all I can\u00a0say,’ she said. By Francis Addo

Leave me alone on this\u00a0FIPAG and Salam\u00a0issues. I don’t want to\u00a0have problems with anybody.<\/p>\n
‘Also it’s a\u00a0good thing we\u00a0live in peace and\u00a0everyone will benefit\u00a0in this industry. After\u00a0all if movies are submitted\u00a0it benefits us\u00a0actors too. That’s how\u00a0we get appreciated,’\u00a0she added.<\/p>\n
