Actress Nana Ama McBrown has pleaded with her\u00a0colleagues in the movie industry to extend a helping\u00a0hand to orphans in the country.<\/p>\n
According to her, these children are in an unfortunate\u00a0situation with no parents to look up to, adding that it is\u00a0therefore the duty of society, especially movie stars, to\u00a0assist these children.<\/p>\n
McBrown said she had been doing her part in assisting\u00a0orphans in the country and that she hoped her colleagues\u00a0in the movie industry would follow her steps.<\/p>\n
‘It is a shared responsibility of Ghanaians to support\u00a0and show love to the needy in the society, notably the\u00a0orphans.<\/p>\n
‘And I am doing my part and I hope that all individuals,\u00a0especially my colleagues in the entertainment industry,\u00a0will join me.’<\/p>\n
McBrown was speaking when she organised a Christmas\u00a0party for orphans at the Mampong Babies Home and\u00a0children living in the community.<\/p>\n
Tabea Herbal Company assisted the McBrown Foundation,\u00a0owned by Nana Ama McBrown, to make the\u00a0colourful event a reality.<\/p>\n
McBrown stated that the mega party formed part of\u00a0her foundation’s social responsibility.<\/p>\n
The famous actress reiterated her call for actors and\u00a0actresses in the country to start showing love to orphans.<\/p>\n
Also present at the event were colleague movie stars\u00a0such as Vivian Jill, Bail Asamoah, Papa Kumasi and many\u00a0others.<\/p>\n
The Manageress of the Home, Madam Margaret\u00a0Addae, thanked the McBrown Foundation for organising\u00a0the Christmas party to bring joy to the kids.<\/p>\n
‘I am really astonished about what I am seeing today.<\/p>\n
On behalf of the kids and management, we express our\u00a0sincere gratitude to McBrown.’<\/p>\n
She equally thanked Tabea Company Limited for electrifying\u00a0the home with the mega party during the Yuletide.<\/p>\n
Highlighting some challenges of the home, she said\u00a0babies’ foods to feed children between the ages of one\u00a0week and six months were a major problem for the home.<\/p>\n
According to her, lactogen, which is the main food to\u00a0feed babies in their early months, is not available because\u00a0the home can’t afford.<\/p>\n
She stated that ‘we have received a week old baby\u00a0whose mother died during labour, and we need some of\u00a0these foods to feed them for better health.’<\/p>\n
Madam Addae made a passionate appeal to government,\u00a0NGOs and individuals to help them with some of\u00a0these early child foods.<\/p>\n
She urged Ghanaians to emulate the support Nana\u00a0Ama McBrown had been giving to orphans to make the\u00a0country a happy place for all.<\/p>\n
