Controversial hiplife musician, Barima Sidney is set to release a song which features yet another creative rapper, Currency.

The song titled, Kwabena Donkor b?k? is as part of Sidney’s intended ‘one man’ demonstration against the Power Minister, Dr Kwabena Donkor.

According to Sidney, the Power Minster vowed to resign if the current power crisis does not end by January 1, 2016, a reason for which he has decided to remind the minister of his words.

He told Abrantepa.com that the song will be a piece to back his intended demonstration.

“I’m currently in the studio recording a song for the demonstration and I hope to be through with it by close of day [Wednesday]. It’s titled, Kwabena Donkor b?k?. I’m featuring Currency on it,” Sidney said.

Asked how the song would be like, Sidney said, “It’s going to a chronicle of his (Power Minister’s) voices. He has said a whole lot of things. So it will be like a dialogue between me and him. I have all the tapes so I will put them together like the way I did the Donkomi.”

He continued, “We have few days to the end of the year. So being a good record keeper, I’m just reminding him of what he said. If he is able to fix it, why not? We will do a party for him; but if he is unable to, I think he should do the honourable thing by resigning as Power Minister.”

Ghana’s energy crisis has lingered on for three years. President John Dramani Mahama, since 2012 has made several promises of an end to the crisis, but each deadline passed while the situation got worse.
