Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah has confirmed the expiration of his loan stint with Reading FC following the end of the English Championship.

The 24-year-old joined the Royals in January on a short-term loan deal from Crystal Palace.

Appiah was at the time returning from an individually successful campaign with Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

He however struggled for goals at Reading scoring just one in the six appearances made for the Royals – the goal eventually coming on the final day of the season in the performance which also saw him named Man of the Match.

Appiah confirmed his is set to return to Crystal Palace with the end of the English second tier league.

“Great way to end my loan spell with @ReadingFC a Win, a Goal #MOM! Thanks for all the nice messages,” the Ghana striker Tweeted.
