Ghana defender, Isaac Vorsah’s return from a lengthy injury layoff has earned his club’s doctors praise from the head coach

Austria’s FC Liefering coach Thomas Letsch has hailed the club’s medical team for their efforts in helping Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah overcome a 30-month injury layoff.

The 27-year-old sustained a knee sprain in May 2013, which ruled him out of the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil after playing a crucial role in Ghana’s qualification.

“I find it great that the club itself decided to help Isaac to progress in professional football,” Letsch told the club’s website.

“He was out injured for 30 months but we are glad to have him back as part of the group. The whole team and medical department succeeded in getting Isaac to be fit again,” he added.

The former Asante Kotoko defender joined Liefering, a second tier side, from Austrian Bundesliga’s Red Bull Salzburg in 2013 after seeing out his four-year contract with TSG Hoffenheim.

Vorsah made his national team debut against Senegal on August 21, 2007 and has been capped 40 times, scoring one goal.

Liefering are fourth on the Austrian Football First League with 32 points.
