Ghana FA Vice President George Afriyie insists the association is not worried by reports linking Avram Grant to jobs in England.

The 60-year-old has been linked to vacant jobs at Swansea City and Chelsea despite being tied down on a contract as coach of the Black Stars.

These reports have raised concerns over the commitment of the Israeli to Ghana with reported offers coming from elsewhere far more superior.

But the GFA insists it is only treating these reports as rumour as it remains confidents Avram Grant will stay to see out his contract with the Black Stars.

“We consider these reports as rumour and therefore there is no need to engage the coach in such a discussion,” GFA Vice President George Afriyie told Sportscrusader.com.

“The coach’s contract spells how termination, if it’s to arise, is handled so there is no need for us to be worried.

“Avram Grant remains our coach and we have been in close contact with him.”

Avram Grant is only one-year into his 28-month contract with the GFA.

He led the Black Stars to the finals of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations despite taking charge of the side three weeks prior to the tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

He is now expected to qualify Ghana for the 2017 AFCON where his target is to win it and then also qualify the side to the 2018 World Cup.
