AshantiGold defender Augustine Sefa says he feels very bad for players plying their trade in the Ghana Premier League with wives and children.

The instrumental lateral defender had earlier justified why Ghanaian players leave the local league for countries like Sudan or Thailand saying our clubs do not pay well.

In a frustrating manner, Sefa said he always feels sorry for player who have a family to attend to with the little they get from the Ghanaian clubs.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, the 24-year old said ‘I pity the players who have wives and children, especially in situations you don’t have money and your wife is sick, while your child is hungry.’

Clubs in the local league have come under immense criticism regarding the way they handle their players but little has been done about it over the years.
