Leicester City have joined two unnamed Portuguese clubs who are chasing the signature of Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila.
Sumaila joined Al Qadsia two seasons on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and impressed hugely which earned him a permanent deal.
The Ghanaian has however grown frustrated in the last two months after the club failed to pay his salary.
Sumaila who was a member of Ghana’s 2014 world cup campaign has been reported to have threatened to quit the club if payment is not made.
He will not be short of suitors if he decides to walk away from his deal in Kuwait as high flying English Premier League side Leicester City are among three clubs chasing his signature in the upcoming January transfer window.
GAHNAsoccernet.com understands the former Asante Kotoko defender is one of the highest paid players in Kuwait and will have to take a massive pay cut if he is to secure a move away from the Arabian peninsula.
