Financially-stricken Hearts splash $51,000 on NINE new signings – report



Crisis-hit Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak spent $51,000 (GH₵195,000) on nine new recruits, widespread media reports have claimed.

The capital-based side which has been rocked by bitter power struggle and poor financial situation spent the staggering on the new signings.

Hearts have brought in new players including Patrick Razak Omotoyossi(Tamale Utrecht), Justine Anane ( Berekum Chelsea), Cosmos Dauda (Mighty Jets) Mustapha Essuman (free agent), John Abiadoo (Liberty Professionals) Benjamin Doe Atiso, Prince Boadu, Daniel Boateng and Ibrahim Musah.

They signed the new players following the decision to release more established players including Emmanuel Hayford, Kofi Abanga, Gilbert Fiamenyo amongst others.

However, it appears the club could incur needless debt after highly ‘amateur’ coach Kenichi Yatshuhashi scored a financial own goal after deciding to sack four of the new players recently signed.

The players, whose identity are yet to be released failed to impress the Japanese trainer during an international friendly against Libyan side Al Ahli Tripoli.

Hearts could be forced to pay the signing-on fees of the recently signed players without kicking a ball following the latest directive.

The move according to insiders have brought massive disquiet among the top hierarchy.
