Controversial Asante Kotoko forward Amed Toure has arrived in Kumasi to train with the club ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League.

Toure at the end of the 2014/15 league season moved to Lebanon to holds talks with Nejmeh FC but the deal fEll through after the Lebanese side failed to meet Kotoko’s asking price.

However, since the dethroned league champions started their pre-season preparations last month, the 28-year old attacker was yet to report to camp as viral reports indicated that he was in Paris to visit his hospitalized 4 year old son.

Sources close to the club hinted that they were contemplating on terminating his contract due to his absence from training.

But according to the welfare officer of the club Godwin Ablordey, the controversial striker has arrived in Kumasi and he has started training with the club.

‘Ahmed Toure arrived in Kumasi yesterday (Wednesday). He trained with us but currently we are on break. The team is going for the Christmas and will resume training on 28th December,’ he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM
