Ex-Ghana skipper Stephen Appiah delighted Jordan Ayew is fulfilling his potential at Aston Villa

Ex-Ghana skipper and former Juventus midfield Maestro Stephen Appiah has joined millions of Ghanaians who are delighted Jordan Ayew is finally living up to the billing with English Premier League side Aston Villa.

Ayew, 23, is the younger brother of Swansea City midfielder Andre Ayew took time in settling in the English Premier League but has shown tremendous improvement in his side’s last four games.

The former Lorient forward nailed a rasping strike to steal a point for his struggling side against Newcastle, taking his goal tally to 4 this season.

Ayew’s inspiring form has attracted praise from Ason Villa boss Remi Garde with iconic ex-Ghana international Stephen Appiah the latest to praise the Villa forward.

‘I am really happy for Jordan he had challenges in adapting to the English game but some of us knew he would come around,’ Appiah said

‘I am delighted he is finally making every one who knows him proud and I know he will only get better.’
