Ghanaian winger Khalif Alhassan is delighted to have signed for NASL side Tampa Bay Rowdies.

The former Ghana Under-20 midfielder has joined Rowdies on a one-year deal after leaving Portland Timbers.

The 25-year-old has expressed his delight at joining the side.

‘I’m very happy to be joining the Tampa Bay Rowdies,” Alhassan told the club’s official website

“I’ve only heard good things about the club from people I know who’ve played here, so it was an easy decision for me to join the team.

“I’m really excited to get to work and I think 2016 is going to be a great season for us.

‘We were able to get Tommy (Heinemann,) one of the best forwards in the league, and there are already great players on the team from last year, so I’m very excited to get started.”
