Coach Kenichi Yatshuhashi says he had very little time to prepare Hearts of Oak for their trip to Libya, hence the side’s poor showing in the double friendly against Al Ahli.

The Phobians returned back to base in Accra on Sunday after losing both friendly matches against Al Ahli.

Hearts conceded five goals without reply during their one-week trip to Libya as part of their pre-season activities.

The result has raised a lot of concern amongst the Hearts fans who fear the side is not quality enough to mount a strong challenge in the Premier League as desired.

But coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi who took over the Hearts job just over two months ago says he didn’t have enough time to prepare the side well for the trip to Libya.

‘I had just two weeks, just four training sessions with the team,’ he explained on Asempa FM.

‘So I didn’t have enough time to prepare the team for this trip.’

Hearts had earlier lost their first pre-season game to WAFA in a 4-1 mauling before jetting off to Libya for the double friendly against Al Ahli.
