AshGold industrious midfielder Kadiri Mohammed claims his club is in pole position to retain the league title they won last season.

The Miners won their first league title in almost two decades last season after seeing off the challenge of Asante Kotoko.

The Obuasi based club now face a difficult task of defending their league title and also participating in the CAF Champions League.

But midfielder Kadiri Mohammed says they have a quality enough team to do both.

‘We have no point to prove to any one because when we started the season people did not believe we could win the league,’ Kadiri told GHANAsoccernet.com

‘ I know the quality we have and I am very confident that we can win the league and do well in Africa.’
