Chief Executive Officer of Tema Youth Wilfred Osei claims attempts have been made to bribe him into dropping his litigation against the Ghana FA and Dreams FC.

Tema Youth have launched a case against the GFA and the Dreams at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

The Tema-based club wants CAS to deny Dreams FC promotion into the Ghanaian top flight over the use of an unqualified player.

Even though the player in question, Daniel Gozar/Cudjoe Mensah was punished by the GFA for double registration, Dreams FC are yet to be handed punishments for their role in the whole saga.

Attempts by Tema Youth to have Dreams FC punished by way of losing point to Dreams FC denied qualification into the Ghanaian top flight have all fallen flat by the various GFA judicial bodies.

This led Tema Youth to seek ‘justice’ before an international body in CAS in a move which will further delay the start of the 2015/16 Premier League season.

Tema Youth chief Wilfred Osei has now revealed attempts have been made to bribe him into dropping the case but insists he will remain unyielding.

“I am poised to follow this case to its logical conclusion,” he said.

“There have been several attempts to have me drop this case, but there is no compromise to this one.

“I was even offered money by some individuals, but I remain committed to arriving at the truth even if it means causing the delay of the league. Justice must be served.”

The GFA finds itself in the tight corner it endured last season with similar legal issues with King Faisal which is yet to be concluded in the ordinary court.
