Hearts assistant coach Yaw Preko insists his side will excel in the Ghanaian top-flight this season.

The Phobians have endured a poor pre-season campaign so far losing their opening two games.

Hearts have conceded seven goals and scored once in recent games against local side WAFA and Libyan outfit Al Ahli Tripoli.

Despite the daunting task confronting the side, assistant coach Yaw Preko remains defiant about their chances this term.’We are trying, we want to bring the glory back to the fans of Hearts of Oak,’ he told Asempa Sports

‘We have to implement to our ideas into the materials at the club. We are gradually doing this,” he told Accra-based Starr FM

‘Fortunately, the league has been pushed back so we can work hard with the boys for them to grasp our concepts.

‘We are confident we will compete very well by the start of the league.”

The once dominant force are desperate to reclaim the title they last won in 2008.
