AshantiGold trainer, Bashiru Hayford has expressed worry over the delay in starting the Ghana Premier League.

The 2015/16 league is yet to start due to an internal legal battle between certain clubs challenging the premiership promotion of other clubs.

The Ghana Football Association is yet to come out with a specific date regarding the start of the league, though media reports have indicated that the league has been tentatively scheduled for 10th January, 2016.

“I drew my programme up to 20th December. Now look at where it has gone. I have to change my programme,” Bashiru Hayford said.

“I have to slow down, reduce the intensity at training but because I’m scientific, I know how to train my boys and my players understand my training method.”

AshantiGold are the defending champions and will be hoping to put up a deserved performance in the upcoming season.
