DOL chairman stressed over the FA’s inability to confirm promoted clubs in Zone I and 3

Chairman of the Division One League Board Owoahene Acheampong has exclusively told Joy Sports he is losing many nights’ sleep over pending cases involving some Division One clubs.

The Ghana FA is yet to officially confirm winners of Zone 1 and Zone 3 to pave way for next season’s Ghana premier league to start.

Tema Youth, after losing their protest against Dreams FC, have petitioned the Court of Arbritration for Sport while there is no ruling on the bribery allegations against Techiman City.

Acheampong says he is stressed and hopes all these issues will be sorted out for the league to start.

“I am worried to the extent that I am stressed, the GFA has done some amendments to its regulations and in article 37, 10 (A) says that after all teams have submitted their statement, the Disciplinary Committee is given five days to deliver their judgment,” he said

“I have challenged the FA to honour its regulations and interpret it to the latter, if we are able to do that we will finish the league and we will be able to know the winner.

“So I’m praying and hoping that there will be finality to this case very soon.”

Dwarfs are the only confirmed team to gain promotion from division one last season
