Ghana’s sole representative at the 2016 CAF Champions League, Ashanti Gold SC have developed plans as they seek to see off Algerian giants MO Bejaia in the first knock out phase of the competition. The Miners are putting in place adequate preparations scheme to make their dream of getting to at least the finals of Africa’s biggest football club competition a reality.

“We need to make sure that we quickly put our house in order so that we can have enough playing time,’ Fianoo told Joy Sports.

“We are looking for a tournament in Tanzania and hopefully another tournament in Nigeria that is going to feature champions in the sub region.”

“They could play more matches that wouldn’t make us overwhelming underdogs. I have believe and faith in my team that we can stand the test of time.”

Ashanti Gold reached the finals of the competition in 1997/1998 losing to Raja Casablanca on penalties.
