Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Francis Oti Aketeng has questioned the job of the Technical Development Committee of the Division One League Board (DOL) after the committee failed to name a best coach at the end of the season.

The award gala which took place last Saturday at the Coconut Groove Hotel in Accra had no category labeled as the best coach.

Due to the committee’s neglect, Ebusua Dwarfs coach JE Sarpong took a strong swipe at the organizers of the awards tagging the ceremony as bogus.

However, the Vice Chairman of the Division One League Board explained that they had no specil criteria for selecting the best coach of the season, hence the decision to neglect it.

But veteran coach, Oti Akenteng insists that it is not good for the development of the game questioning the essence of the technical development committee of the DOL.

“What was the use of the technical development Committee of the DOL headed by Sam Addy? What did they do? Are the organizers saying those people were there for nothing? They must come again,” Oti Akenteng said in an interview on Happy FM in Accra.
