The Grammy Awards is arguably the world’s biggest music awards scheme, and the dream of every artiste to win one.
Musician Samini has done quite well for himself, since he broke into the mainstream music industry in Ghana some ten years ago. He has won awards in Ghana, Africa and across the world including Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) and MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs).
In spite of all of that achievements, he still ‘thirsts’ for a Grammy Award.
“Like every other mainstream act, you would want to have a Grammy tag, so we still working and if that recognition comes, then that’s like yeah.” He told the folks at Vibes In 5 in an interview.
Reggae Musician Rocky Dawuni made history recently when he became the first Ghanaian to be nominated at the 2016 Grammy Award for his album Branches Of The Same Tree.
