Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Most Rev. Titus Awotwi Pratt is asking the Power Ministry to tell Ghanaians the truth on when the load shedding will end.

His comment follows the promise by Power Minister Dr Kwabena Donkor that the ongoing load shedding will ease next week.

But Communications Minister in an apparent rebuttal said it is impossible to end dumsor as it is being suggested by the Power Minister.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 25th anniversary of Mount Zion Society in Tema, a livid Most Rev Pratt called on the Mahama-led government to be candid with Ghanaians.

He stated that, the plethora of promises given to the citizenry on when the power crisis will end is ‘sickening’.

The Methodist Bishop noted that as humans our projections can fail therefore if government is truthful with Ghanaians, the pressure on it to end dumsor could be minimal.

“…There is no gas to feed the plants, others are also saying dumsor is due to financial constrains so which one should we believe,” he quizzed.

Most Rev. Awotwi Pratt added the conflicting promises from government are misleading thus the Ministry must tell the nation the true state of affairs regarding the energy crisis.
