Ghana midfielder, Michael Essien has played two successive games for Greek giants Panathinaikos without a hitch.
The 33-year-old is peaking in form after returning from a long injury lay-off.
The Ghana international has featured in the last two games for the Greens without problems and feels delighted to return to the pitch.
‘I feel very well. I feel a little tired but this is normal. Unfortunately I stayed some time apart due to an injury, but I’m very happy that I came back,’ he said.
‘I’m with the team and I’m happy that I played my second game.
‘I believe that with the more games I play I will be able to go back to my real self, the football player I was.
‘We must continue to work hard in training and will try to enjoy my game whenever I get the chance. I hope to become the player I was.’
Recurrent knee injuries have robbed the former Chelsea star of his immense talent in recent years.
