Former Black Stars defender, Sam ‘Foyoo’ Johnson, says he regrets being a former player of Hearts of Oak.
Johnson featured for the Phobians between the 1991 to 1995 season where his performance earned him both fame and wealth.
Hearts of Oak have not been able to win the Ghana Premier League since 2008, and the Club narrowly escaped relegation after finishing 13 at the end of the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League.
And Johnson says the Phonians current struggle makes him shy of being associated with the club.
‘I feel shy being a former Hearts of Oak player, because of the state of the club at the moment,” Foyoo Johnson told Accra based Atinka FM.
“Hearts once brought joy to their faithful, but the team’s performance is nothing to write home about,’
