Ashanti Gold have been invited by the champion club of Tanzania to compete with champions from two other African nations in a four club tournament in January.

Young African of Tanzania under the watch of former Ashgold, Kpando Heart of Lions and Berekum Chelsea coach Hans Van Der Pluijm clinched the 2015 Tanzanian league.

The Duch trainer who is fond of Ghana football recommended Ashgold to his Tanzanian outfit to join clubs from other East African nations in a tournament that will prepare them for the 2015 CAF Champions League.

“Hans Van Der Pluijm who is our former coach recommended us to his Tanzanian club whom he won the league with to invite us for a four-club tournament among clubs that won their respective leagues.

“The Chairman of the club was in Ghana for the TMS lecture and had advanced talks with Kudjoe Fianoo on the 4 club tournament which comes on in January 2015 in Tanzania,” said Kofi Yawson, the Public Relations Officer for Ashgold.

Ashgold won the Ghana Premier league with 52 points to clinch their first league title in 19 years.
