Emmanuel Hayford has denied charges of indiscipline and lack of commitment at Hearts of Oak that according to the management necessitated his dismissal from the club.
Accra Hearts of Oak in their attempt to parade a winsome and committed side for the upcoming season earlier released 5 players namely Kwaku Andoh, Hamza Mohammed, Gilbert Fiamenyo, Kofi Abanga and Tetteh Lugard and on Tuesday through their official mouthpiece Hearts News announced the sack of their instrumental midfielder Emmanuel Hayford for lack of commitment and indiscipline.
However, Hayford has stated that the management has misinformed the public about him because he has shown commitment and dedication throughout his stay at the club.
‘It is untrue that I am indiscipline and lacks commitment. It is injuries that denied me much playing time and my recovery delayed. Even after my career threatening injury against Medeama, I decided to join the team to Kumasi to play King Faisal and the club awarded me for that effort
‘I think the publication by Hearts of Oak is to end my career,’ he told Hot FM.
Emmanuel Hayford joined Hearts of Oak in 2013 after a splendid season with Amidaus Professionals and became the toast of the fans in his debut season, but injuries put him on the sidelines for greater part of last season.
