Barring any last minute changes, the General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party Kwabena Agyepong will be suspended by the party on Thursday.
He is likely to be handed a 15-month suspension period, StarrFMonline.com has learnt.
The decision to suspend Mr. Agyepong was concluded on Monday by the Disciplinary Committee of the elephant family.
The decision is expected to be implemented by the Council of Elders of the party who are billed to meet on Thursday.
Mr. Agyepong who stands accused of misconduct met the party’s Disciplinary Committee last week. It followed petitions brought against him by some aggrieved supporters of the party.
StarrFMonline.com gathers that Mr. Agyepong is likely to be suspended together with the party’s second vice chair Sammy Crabbe who has openly described as illegal the indefinite suspension of their national chairperson Paul Afoko.
