Authorities at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium are selling VVIP seats for GHC1,500 that will allow holders to see every game throughout the season.
In a move geared towards raising funds to repair broken seats and also renovate the stadium, management of the stadium have decided that they will sell the VVIP tickets on season basis which will allow ticket holders to watch every game be it a Kotoko or a Black Stars match in the stipulated period.
“We don’t have money now to fix the broken VVIP seats and we don’t know when government will give us money,” Director of Sports for the Ashanti Region, Richard Idrisu, told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM
“So what we intend doing is that we will rent out the seats to stakeholders and to the general public and then use the money to fix the seats. “
“They will have access to the seat for one year with their special ID cards, and after that we will take back ownership.”
