James Kwesi Appiah had a vision for the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana. A vision to build a football team that Ghana could depend on for the next 15 years.
That was not meant to be. The 55-year-old who took on the Ghana job to be the first local coach to qualify the Black Stars to a FIFA World Cup tournament was relieved of his duties as head coach after a drama-filled performance from the team in Brazil.
