TP Mazembe head coach, Patrice Cateron, has hailed the performance of Richard Kissi Boateng describing the left-back as an aggressive player.

Kissi Boateng prior to the season was a bench warmer but an injury to Congolese international Kasusula gave the former Berekum Chelsea defender opportunity to exhibit his skills and has since cemented his position in the team.

Last month the Lubumbashi-based club won their fifth CAF Champions League after defeating USMA 4-1 on aggregate which automatically gives them the ticket to partake in the 2015 World Club Championship.

And the French tactician, Patrice Cateron has described the Ghana international as an aggressive and a versatile player.

“He took advantage of an injury to Jean Kasusula and established himself on the left side of defense. He’s an aggressive player, also versatile as he can play as a left midfielder or left winger,” Cateron said.

“He must be more consistent, as he will be facing competition from other players who are also eyeing the opportunity,” Cateron added.
