The president of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Kwabena Yeboah has disclosed that his outfit is considering giving Asante Kotoko head coach a miniature SWAG Cup trophy for keeps after winning it for three years.

Disclosing the news to Ghanasoccernet.com the astute broadcaster and ace television commentator admitted that even though it is not standard practice of his outfit to do that, they will consider introducing that, starting with the Kotoko coach.

David Duncan made an open call for a miniature trophy for keeps after winning the trophy with the dethroned league champions in the clash with current league champions, AshantiGold.

Asante Kotoko won it for a record fourteen times while Duncan made history as the first coach to have won it three times with three different clubs.

“It is not a standard practice in SWAG but we will discuss it and consider doing something like that. SWAG is an association and I don’t take decisions alone. It will be considered,” Kwabena Yeboah said.

“There is always a first time in anything and I think it is worth considering,” he added.

Duncan won the SWAG Cup twice with AshantiGold in 2006 and 2009 before annexing last Sunday’s edition to register his third.
