Is Ghana no more interested in U17 football?

The Sports Ministry and the GFA seem to be toying with the nation’s participation in next year’s U17 qualifiers.

This development is due to their reluctance to send the confirmation letter of Ghana’s participation in the U17 qualifiers.

This follows CAF’s decision earlier this year to lift the ban on countries who were caught with similar offences, so they could partake in the qualifiers due for March 2016.

Ghana was disqualified last year for fielding Isaac Twum, who was considered over-age after an MRI-scan detected his real age.

The technical team of the U17, headed by Paa Kwsei Fabin, has had his plans and program stalled due to this pending issue.
