Chief Executive Officer of Obuasi- based AshantiGold, Kudjoe Fianoo has affirmed that his club manager Bashir Hayford has penned three years contract extension with his outfit and not two.

The 2015 Ghana Premier League winning coach committed his future to the Miners by extending his stay for another three years, according to club CEO Kudjoe Fianoo.

Reports were rife in the local media that, the no-nonsense trainer signed a two-year contract extension with AshGold, but his club chief has rubbished the news by revealing that it was three years.

“Bashiru Hayford extended his contract. We’ve vowed not to let him go since he came to our club. We have acted quickly in keeping him just to ward off interest from other suitors. The contract he signed was three years and not two. So, he is going to be with us for the next three seasons. Get this clear,” Fianoo explained in an interview with Kumasi-based radio station Nhyira FM.

Mr. Fianoo also hinted his club’s ambitions ahead of the coming seasons which is to get to the champions league money zone and also maintain their dominance on the local front.
