Abu LminAlhaji Lamin is tipped to take over from Lawyer Adu Gyamfi

The Lawyer Paul Adu-Gyamfi-led board at Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to be dissolved as Alhaji Lamin has been highly tipped to take over the top position, Ghanasoccernet.com can reveal.

The Adu-Gyamfi’s Board has come under severe criticism especially last season when the club failed to defend its league and FA Cup respectively.

Last month, Adu-Gyamfi’s board visited the club’s Life Patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at Manhyia, were the board admitted their failure and they were directed by Manhyia to present a comprehensive reports of what transpired last season.

Sources close to Manhyia claim that the passionate Life Patron of the club wasn’t pleased with the performance of Adu-Gyamfi’s led board hence the decision to dissolve the current board.

The source further disclosed that Tema-based businessman Alhaji Abu Lamin who has been in and out of Asante Kotoko for the past 15 years has been highly tipped as Adu-Gyamfi’s successor.

Alhaji Abu Lamin is likely to be supported on the board by Dr. Frimpong (Champion) and Nana Boakye, the source revealed.

The sources also reveal that, the current General Manager of the club, Opoku Nti will be given one more season to handle the team as the Asantehene is highly impressed with the output of the former club striker.
