General Secretary of the People’s National Convention, Bernard Mornah, has dismissed claims by leadership of the party that his ambition of becoming the party’s next National Chairman is in limbo.
Three members of the PNC want the party to disqualify Mr. Mornah for presenting an invalid cheque for the payment of his filing fee, and dues.
National Youth Organizer of the party, Abu Ramadan insists a final decision on his fate will be taken on Monday.
But, Bernard Mornah in an interview with AdomNews said he has been cleared by the vetting committee to contest in the upcoming primaries.
He said though he regrets what happened, he has fulfilled all the party’s requirements.
“When my attention was drawn of the cheque issue, I was outside Accra, but I made arrangement for cash payment to be made in the party’s account,” he added.
Mr. Mornah who is vying for the party’s chairmanship position is optimistic he will win.
