Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold FC, Kudjoe Fianoo, says his outfit has tasked club manager Bashir Hayford to replicate his splendid feat by excelling in the upcoming Ghana Premier League season and also guide them to reach the money zone in Africa’s inter-club competition.
Mr. Fianoo, in an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM’s sports show disclosed the club’s set targets for next season given to coach Bashir Hayford.
“Now that he has won the league for us, we’ve all witnessed the kind of joy he has brought to the club and the fans in Obuasi. We’re asking him to repeat the feat,” he said
“Again; we’re going to Africa and our target for Bash is to take us to the money zone. It has been a long time since we played in Africa and because of our lost four slots as Ghanaians; we want him to mastermind a brilliant performance by leading us to the group stages. With this, I’m sure we shall reclaim our four slots back. For now, this is our target for him.” he reiterated.
“We’re going to act like Oliver Twist by asking for more,” Fianoo jested on Kumasi-based radio station Nhyira FM
Kudjoe Fianoo further emphasized that, such target cannot be solely achieved by coach Bashir only, but it will be a collective team work in order to hit their targets.
“We’re all going to help him to achieve this. It shouldn’t depend on him only.
