ZÃ¼rich, Dec. (GNA/dpa) – Belgium are football’s Team of the Year in succession, after topping the year-ending rankings issued on Thursday by the ruling body FIFA.
Belgium remained top with 1,494 points thanks to a 3-1 in a November friendly against Spain, whilst the Germans dropped from second to fourth on 1,347 after losing 2-0 against France in a game, which took place during the terrorist attacks in Paris.
Argentina moved up one into second on 1,455 and European champion Spain climbed from sixth to third on 1,370.
Chile, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, England and Austria complete the top 10 of the monthly national team rankings.
Turkey were named Mover of the Year after garnering 329 points in 2015 for a current 21 ranking and Hungary moved from 33 to 20 in the latest thanks thanks to a Euro 2016 play-off win against Norway.
