Jordan Ayew has been one of the brightest spots in Aston Villa’s gloomy season in recent weeks. The Ghanaian who had a slow start to his career at Villa Park has recently been on a good run of form providing the spark for Remi Garde’s side.
Results are still yet to improve with Aston Villa having not won a single Premier League game since their 1-0 victory against AFC Bournemouth on opening day.
Aston Villa boss Remi Garde who took over the job after Tim Sheerwood was sacked has singled out Ghana international Jordan Ayew for special praise during this trial moments at the club.
Speaking to AVTV HD, Remi Garde said of Jordan Ayew:
‘I’m very happy with Jordan’s performance. He’s very committed to the team. He’s a wonderful player who runs on the pitch with high intensity – he sprints.
‘I’m very happy because it’s not easy to play in his position because he has to run a lot everywhere – defensively, offensively and for me he’s shown the right way to the other players as well.
‘He’s not the only one, of course, but I’d like to underline his displays. He’s scoring. He’s not had many opportunities but he’s got very good skill in the opposition box.
‘We have to carry on. He has to show everybody that he can be a very good player.’
Jordan Ayew joined Aston Villa in the summer from French Ligue 1 club FC Lorient. The player has scored three goals in ten Premier League appearances for the Villa Park outfit.
