The Ghana Premier League is expected to start on Sunday, December 20, 2015 as earlier scheduled after the Premier League Board squashed reports of a change of date.
The vice chairman of the Premier League Board, Ashford Tetteh Oku said the date had not been changed Sunday, January 10, 2015 as earlier reports in the media indicated.
Speaking to Cape Coast-based ATL FM, Mr Tetteh Oku said of the Ghana Premier League start date:
‘The PLB has not made any change in our proposed date for the commencement of this year’s league and for that matter, Ghanaians should disregard such mischievous media report and we are hoping that nothing becomes stumbling block for our intended 20 December for its commencement.’
Ashgold won 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League which ended in September after 19 years of wait.
