Injured Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah will return to Juventus training next week amid a career that has been plagued with recurrent injuries.

The 26-year-old has been cleared to resume full-scale training next week after being sidelined since October.

The Ghana international returned to the pitch early last month after a nine-month injury-induced absence but suffered a relapse in Juventus’ 2-0 win over Atalanta.

The midfielder suffered muscular problems which has been described as biceps femoris – a form of a thigh strain, and needed to rest for 20 days to be able to recover from his latest setback.

He was initially estimated to return on November 21 but that was delayed again due to complications.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has told reporters the Black Stars midfielder will return to group training next week as the Italian side keeps an eye on his fitness.

The career of the ex-Udinese man has been wrecked by consistent injuries over the last year.

He has been absent from the Ghana squad for a year now as it appears there is no end in sight to the frustrating injury spell which has rocked his rather fine career.
