Ghana has dropped three places in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday with the draw against Comoros taking its toll on the Black Stars place in the global ranking.

However, the Black Stars remain third in Africa even though the top sides on the continent Algeria lost their place to Ivory Coast.

Ghana was ranked 30th in the global ranking by the world governing body last month but have now dropped to the 33rd position.

The first-leg goalless draw against the Comoros in the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Moroni looks to have weighed against the Black Stars even though the latter won the return leg in Kumasi.

Comoros, who were ranked 177th in the world before the match against the Black Stars, have moved five places up to occupy the 172nd position.

Ivory Coast are now ranked first in Africa replacing Algeria with the latter dropping to second spot.

Meanwhile, Belgium will finish the year in top spot with 2014 Soccer World Cup champions, Germany, dropping two places to the fourth position.

Avram Grant’s charges are now ranked 3rd in Africa.
