Aston Villa coach Remi Garde says his Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew is showing the way for his teammates, insisting his tireless approach to matches for the struggling side is a perfect example for players of the club to follow.
The striker has been working his socks off for the Claret and Blue as they fight to avoid relegation from the English Premier League.
The Ghana international has scored three goals in the last five matches but his athleticism during the matches is what has caught the eye of his new coach.
Garde said: “I am very happy with the performance of Jordan Ayew.
“He is a very committed to the team and he is a player that runs a lot on the pitch with intensity and sprints.
“It’s tough to play in his position, offensively and defensively, he for me is showing the right way for the other players.
“He isn’t the only one of course but his performance is worth noting, he has very good skill in the attacking areas.
“He has to show everyone he can be a very good player.”
