Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea has denied rumours the Disciplinary Committee (DC) of the party has recommended the suspension of Kwabena Agyepong as General Secretary.
Publications alleging Kwabena Agyapong’s suspension had been recommended in a report to the party’s National Executive Committee were rife Thursday evening, but in response to Graphic Online’s query on the authenticity of the claims, Nana Akomea, who said he had been part of a steering committee meeting Thursday, said the issue did not even come up.
“There is no such announcement. Just finished a steering committee meeting, it never came up”, he told Graphic Online in a text message.
Four members of the NPP are reported to have petitioned the party’s disciplinary committee to suspend Mr Agyepong for unspecified misconduct.
He has since appeared before the committee.
